Terms and Conditions

Check-in time 4 pm. We offer self check-in and guests are welcome at 4:00 pm or later on the day of arrival.  Two days before the check in date, guests will receive detailed instructions via text and email on how to access the property and retrieve their room key. 

Check-out time 10 am. 

No Smoking INSIDE any Units. Subject to $250 fine. Responsible smoking is allowed outside of the units. Please be a responsible connoisseur and smoke in a responsible manner on the private patios provided. Be aware that other guests may have windows open and do not want to smell smoke. Smoking marijuana is legal in the state of Colorado.   

Quiet hours: We ask that you respect other guests and try to keep quiet between 10 pm to 7 am

Payment:  For direct bookings made at www.rusticacre.com, your payment method will be charged for 100% of the booking amount as soon as your reservation is confirmed. The advanced payment is NOT a security / damage deposit. VRBO, AirBnb and Booking.com may have other payment terms, check with the booking platform for more information.

Maximum Occupancy:  The recommended number of guests depends on which unit you have reserved. Maximum occupancy exceptions can be made for babies and kids under 12. Contact us if you have a special situation.

No daily housekeeping service: While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. Please text us if you would like additional towels or linens. If you are staying for an extended time, contact us to arrange mid-stay cleanings. 

Pet Policy: Well behaved dogs are welcome to stay  in any unit on the property EXCEPT Deer Mountain Loft and Mummy Mountain Suite. We do ask those traveling with pets to AGREE TO:

  • Use supplied doggy pick-up bags to pick up after dogs and dispose of waste in the provided receptacle.  
  • Please use the blanket provided to cover the couches.
  • All food, water, and care are the responsibility of the pet owner.  
  • Please keep dogs in crate (if possible) when you are away from the property. If you need Doggie Day Care please call the Estes Park Pet Lodge at 970-586-9282.
  • Guest is fully responsible for the full cost of replacement, including labor, for any damages, (examples being, but not limited to: Furnishings, flooring, carpet, doors, frames, walls, windows, fencing, etc.).
  • If your pet disturbs the other guests with noise, such as barking &/or crying, other arrangements such as taking the pet to a boarding house will be made immediately.
  • Owner agrees to hold harmless “The Rustic Acre” from all claims and liabilities for damages to persons and / or property resulting from pets, regardless of the legal theory presented, including reasonable attorney fees and costs.
  • Be considerate of other guests

Pet Fees: It does take us a little longer to clean up after little paws and wayward fur, so we charge a little extra for pets ($25/night+tax). The fee is $25/night for 2 dogs maximum, the fee is the same for 1 or 2 dogs.

Pet fees are NOT included in your standard rental rate or cleaning fee. After you make your reservation we will send you an email where you can complete the dog reservation and pay fees prior to arrival. 

DO NOT LEAVE TRASH OUTSIDE! While we love the Rocky Mountain Bear, we would prefer them NOT hanging around The Rustic Acre.  Dumpster located at SOUTH of Property Near the BIG GREEN BLDG.      

Jacuzzi Tubs: Please do not use bath salts or glitter bombs with jets operating.  Please NO DOGS in tubs. 

Cancellation Policy: for reservations made directly on our website, www.rusticacre.com: 100% refund if cancelled up to 30 days before arrival, 50% refund if cancelled up to 7 days before arrival, and no refunds if cancelled less than 7 days before arrival. Please note that a 3% cancellation fee will be applied to the total cost of the reservation to cover the credit card processing charges. To cancel a reservation, please send a request to info@rusticacre.com.

Please note that cancellation policies may differ for reservations made through other booking platforms such as VRBO, Airbnb, or Booking.com. Please refer to the specific booking platform for details on their cancellation policy.

No Show Policy: You will be charged the full amount of the reservation in the event of a ‘No show’.

Damages: Guests take full responsibility for all damages, injury, or loss that occur on the premises. Guests must report any property damage, any unreported damages may be deducted from the security deposit.
